No. 4: Jordan

Jordan is fifteen. He sells toothbrushes and toothpaste on the streets of Yaoundé. He needs to earn 90,000CFA (£125) before September to pay for school next year. He attends one of the boarding schools in the city. His uniform will cost him 10,000CFA (£14) and the fees for 2020/21 are 80,000CFA (£110). He walks the streets for three hours day, six days a week and makes between 2-3,000CFA per day (£16-25). His parents work the streets too, as does his older brother. That day his brother was was selling ‘safou’ (plums).
